Accommodation Notes
*While the bed linen is provided, you will have to make the bed yourself.(You can get your bed sheet from 13:00 to 22:00 per week)
*Clean up your room when you check-out.
*When checking out, return your bed sheets (folded).
*Smoking allowed only in the smoking area only.
*Lost keys cost JPY5515. Please don't lose your room key.
*NYC's Reception desk is open 8:00-11:00, 15:00-22:00.
*Quite hours are from 23:00-8:00.
*There is no curfew (unlike the hostel).
*No drink and food are allowed in the rooms.
*In order to keep costs down for NYC please do your part to conserve electricity and water.
Checking in and checking out
You can check in between July 23rd through August 1st.
You should check out by 10:00 a.m. on August 2nd.
Note: Lodging before July 23rd and after August 1st will not be available. In the near future, there will be suggestions for lodging before and after Unicon XII.

From July 23 to August 2, Unicon XII manages all lodging that is booked through this website.
You don't need to check-in/check-out at the front desk of NYC.
You can check-in at organizer's desk of UNICON in NYC.
Registration will be open all day.
The rooms will be available starting 15:00 on July 23, 2004.
If you want to arrive earlier on July 23, 2004, let us know.
There may be a place to leave your luggage with the organizers.
Check-out time 11:00 on August 2, 2004. If you want to stay another night, you must tell the reception in advance.
Facilities

A-Building: Yoyogi Youth Hostel
B-Building: Showers. Bathing hour 17:00-23:00
C-Building: 4-person rooms and 2-person rooms (the official Unicon XII lodging)
D-Building: 1-person rooms for some of the Unicon XII organizers
The restrooms, baths and wash-basines are communal (no private bathrooms)
They have no shampoo in a shared bathroom.
(You can buy these things at a store near NYC.)
All rooms are equipped with a desk.
The rooms have limited air-conditioning
All beds are standard beds, one person per bed.
There is no luggage storage service available

Paid parking for 200 cars (6:30-23:00)
The gate is closed from 23:00 to 6:30.

Linen for beds is included. Each week a new set of bed linen will be provided.
If requested, a person can pay extra to have linen changed more often.

These price include salad bar and drink bar at cafeteria "FUJI" of Center ridge.
You can take a dinner until 11:00 PM at the restaurant "Sakura" of NYC.

There is also a convinience store close to the NYC (5 minutes walking or 2 minutes by unicycle)

Other shopping
As the NYC is downtown, (SHIBUYA, SHINJUKU area) you can buy just about anything by traveling only a short distance.

Keio Bus
Get on Keio bus at Shinjuku Station West Exit No.16 or Shibuya Station South Exit No.14, and get off at Yoyogi 5-chome bus stop.

Access From Narita Airport
Airport Bus
JUA recommends you takes an Airport/Limousine Bus when you are going to NYC.
You get on the bus for Shinjuku Area Hotels.
Price: One way 3,000 yen (children get 1/2 half)
Time: 85 min.
You do not need a reservation. Here is a timetable:
You can get off the bus at Shinjuku Washigton Hotel.
Then take a taxi to NYC. (about 1000yen per taxi).

"Limousine2You" Narita - NYC
47,250yen + 4,050yen (Express way fare), Narita - NYC for 27 person.
31,500 + 2,350yen (Express way fare), Narit - NYC for 5 person.
"Tabi no Ashi"
If you would like to charter a bus, it costs about 50,000yen for 25 persons from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m for Tokyo Area.
If you use the express way on the bus, you need to pay for express way fare.
Narita Airport is Kanto Area. Express way fare is about 4,050yen for the bus.

Limousine Taxi "Tabi no Ashi" Summer Campaign for Narita - NYC
It cost 15,000yen + 2,350yen for 3 person or 18,000yen +2,350 for 6 person.
The fixed number of people might not be abele to ride.
Because you have some big luggages and unicycles.

Train / Subway / Bus We recommend using public transportation. Rental cars are impractical at UNICON XII.
If you would like to take the train for going to NYC from Narita Airport, you have some options.

You go to Shinjuku. You then have three ways to go to NYC from Shinjuku.
Shinjuku Station is large and complicated.
1)Train. Change of line to Odakyu line. 7-minute walk from Sangubashi Station. (Unless you are confident about the trains and train stations, we do not recommend taking the train for your first day in Japan.)
2)Keio Bus. Get on Keio bus at Shinjuku Station West Exit No.16, and get off at Yoyogi 5-chome bus stop.

3)Taxi. Maybe about 1,200yen from Shinjuku Station.

 

Taxi Expensive
If you would like to take a taxi for going to NYC from Narita Airport, it would cost about 5500yen/person.
